Great video and wonderful to see how the project has been developing. As a project focused on revival of traditional techniques, it raises the issue of how to deal with innovation. I also wonder whether there's scope for cultural exchange. I'm thinking of basket-makers from the Mapuche in Chile for instance.

This session was introduced by Dr Sylvia Kleinert. Sylvia is also a right way member, as are Lola and Zoe, so you could leave than a message through this site. The session was recorded with the permission of AIATSIS and the speakers. Craft Australia is very grateful for thier support of right way. The Tayenebe Project is also an exhibition at Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Hobart. You can see more images of the project.
